In Africa (South Africa not included), growth in output will be driven by higher real sugar prices. Sugar output is projected to increase by 40% to reach 15.8 Mt by the end of 2029 compared to the base period, due to production expansion in Sub-Saharan countries that is supported by investments at the farm and the mill level.
