Georg Nees, Processing, and a Schotter Tutorial. By Jim Plaxco. Georg Nees was one of the pioneers of computer art. Born in Germany in 1926, he was a pupil of Max Bense, the founder of Information Aesthetics. It is believed that Nees' solo show at the University of Stuttgart in February 1965 was the first exhibition of computer art.
